Manchester City Forward Cole Palmer’s Future Hangs in the Balance

Bola.net – Cole Palmer admits that his future with Manchester City is hanging in the balance. The forward said it was up to the club if they signed another forward this month he would decide to leave.

The 21-year-old scored a 63rd-minute equalizer in the UEFA Super Cup penalty shoot-out win over Sevilla, having previously scored for Man City as the reigning champions lost the Community Shield, also on penalties, to Arsenal.

The departure of Riyad Mahrez in the summer and the absence of Bernardo Silva due to illness paved the way for Palmer to start both matches.

“These were some good matches for me [lawan Sevilla], but I do not know. I have to see what the future holds,” Palmer said.

Rethink If Man City Buys Players

Manchester-born Palmer said the best outcome would be for him to stay at the club he joined as an eight-year-old in their youth academy.

“Yeah, obviously the best scenario is to stay at Man City and play, but obviously you know what the competition is like, if they sign someone,” Palmer said.

“I don’t know. I just want to play regularly, like a lot of minutes and stuff, so we’ll see.”

Pep Guardiola Sign

Previously, coach Pep Guardiola did not dare to guarantee Palmer’s future in the Man City squad. According to him, the fate of the player will not be loaned out to any club this season, but Guardiola gave the green light to sell his team-mate.

“I don’t think the loan will happen. It can stay, it can also be sold, but the loan won’t happen,” said the coach from Spain.
