Antananarivo, August 30, 3:20 p.m. – The first Malagasy medals in badminton are not gold. The two Malagasy men’s and women’s teams each grab the bronze medal in their respective categories.
Among the men, Madagascar fell in the semi-finals against the Mauritian team, which went in search of gold. The silver medal goes to the Maldivians who fell Reunion in the semi-finals.
Among the women, in the single pool, the Malagasy team finished in fourth place and was thus content with bronze like the Reunion side which beat them in the last classification match. Mauritius takes the gold and Maldives takes the silver.
After the team competition, place for individual competitions and mixed doubles from this Wednesday.
