Feyenoord seems to be able to forget the arrival of Hannibal Mejbri. English media report that Luton Town has reached an agreement with Manchester United on the transfer of the Tunisian international. Mejbri was in the picture at Feyenoord with a possible departure of Ezequiel Bullaude to Boca Juniors.

A few hours after it became known that Feyenoord was interested in Mejbri, the team from Rotterdam can already forget about the transfer. Feyenoord competed with Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, among others, for the signature of the twenty-year-old midfielder, but it seems that PhD student Luton Town is going to run off with Mejbri.

Exactly how much Luton Town has left for Mejbri is still unclear. The midfielder, who has an xTV of 4.4 million euros, was picked up from AS Monaco’s youth academy in 2019 for 10.0 million euros. Without even having played a single game in professional football. Last season, the midfielder played 41 games on loan for Birmingham City in the Championship.

Due to the possible departure of Bullaude to Boca Juniors and the fact that Luka Ivanusec has still not been presented, Feyenoord wants to add a new attacking midfielder to the selection soon. As far as Ivanusec is concerned, progress has indeed been made. The Croatian was not included in Dinamo Zagreb’s selection for the match in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League against Astana on Wednesday evening. This makes a transfer seem imminent.
