The Los Angeles Angels, who are experiencing a slump with seven wins in their last 20 games, have decided to take matters into their own hands.

The California team proceeded on Friday to recall their first choice in the last draft, Nolan Schanuel, who was selected by the Angels just 40 days ago.

He is the first player from the 2023 auction to play a game this season, as well as the fifth of the last two vintages to make his major debut.

The 21-year-old also became the fastest major league baseball debut in nearly 44 years on Friday.

His good performances at the AA level certainly got him that long-awaited call-up. Schanuel had a .370 batting average, one homer and 15 RBIs in 21 games.
