After the great success of the previous editions, the original formula of the Libri in Osteria cultural offer resumes. Conceived and curated by Emanuela Bruni in collaboration with Francesco Collacchi of the Ubick bookshop in Frascati and Remigio Sognatesori of the Osteria dell’Olmo, in a typical space of the city of Frascati, it resumes on August 31st and ends on October 12th.
Science, the environment, women and sport will be the protagonists of this edition without forgetting current affairs and fiction.
The journalist Giuliana Sgrena will open the review on 31 August, telling us about Deceived women and his kidnapping in Iraq with the graphic novel homonymous made with Irene Carbone. Among reports and memories of life on the hot fronts of the world also Giorgio Moscatelli who in his “Holiness pretend to pray” will tell, on 21 September, dramatic and exciting situations experienced as a special correspondent of the Rai television news, through the lens of the camera.
The theme of women in science and in particular in environmental research will instead be addressed with “First, ten environmental scientists”, edited by Mirella Orsi and Sergio Ferraris. The agile volume will be presented on September 30 in the always eagerly awaited Science Weekorganized by Frascati Science which with its president, Matteo Martini, tenaciously aims to solicit more and more the female world to science and STEM subjects.
The narrative will be present with Marco Proietti Mancini and his novel “I am Hotel Garibaldi” set in Naples, on 7 September.
On September 14 with Mirko Zilhay, and its “Our Lady of the Clouds”, the writer will transport us to the mythical and fairy-tale world of Mirko, the protagonist who is seven years old and seven names. Each name a story, a life, a dream, a destiny that his mother Annarita gave him that will transport us into a mythical and fairy-tale universe. Noir and crime news will be on stage on October 5 with “Crime Capital yellows and mysteries of the Eternal City”, by Francesco Sala.
Tennis and the Foro Italico are the background in which Piero Valesio moves his characters in the novel “Who kidnapped Roger Federer”.
