In the midst of the exodus of soccer players from the elite of European soccer to the Super League in Saudi Arabia, there was a top-level goalkeeper who made a statement so that the sheikhs ruled out setting their eyes on him.

Wojciech Szczesny, a starter at Juventus since the 2017/18 season, assured that he prefers “fun challenges”, and considers that “defending the Juventus goal is the best challenge there can be”. “I’m a Juve player unless they don’t want me,” he added.

“The desire to win the Scudetto is very great. This club is so used to winning trophies that you always want another one. There is frustration for not having been successful lately, but there is the motivation to come back and fight for bigger goals”, he explained.

The economic factor, at 33, is no longer decisive when making those decisions. In fact, in a dialogue with Polish television TVP, he was clear about it: “I have already earned a lot of money in my life.”
