ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Guardians had his suspension reduced from three games to two in connection with the incident with Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox.
The star third baseman will serve the sentence Saturday and Sunday at Tropicana Field.
Ramirez and Anderson came to blows last Saturday in Cleveland after Ramirez slipped to second base.
Anderson was suspended for six games.
Ramirez is having a stellar season with 18 homers and 65 RBIs while batting .282.
He is expected to return to action Tuesday in Cincinnati.
