In the first race, Jonas finished fourth behind the winner Herlings and the two Germans, Henri Jakobi and Tom Koch. The Latvian lost to the home team by only a couple of seconds.
Herlings was also unbeaten in the second run, as in the first, ahead of the closest followers by more than 20 seconds, but Jonas this time was a solid second ten seconds ahead of Maximilian Nagl.
The ADAC series usually has three races, but this time only two were held due to bad weather. Herlings won with 50 points, Jonas was second with 40, and Koch was third with 38.
The 15th round of the world championship season will take place next weekend in Sweden.
Due to various injuries, Jonas has not participated in 11 stages in a row, but he only has points in the first two stages of the season.
