James Rodríguez Advances to Cup Final in Brazil and Demands Change in Locker Room Decor

James David Rodríguez Rubio, born on July 12, 1991 in the city of Cúcuta Norte de Santander, has stood out for playing in different sports clubs such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Everton FC, among others. Additionally, he was the winner of the Golden Boot of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, after scoring six goals that allowed the national team to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament, being Colombia’s best performance in a World Cup to date.

The arrival of the Colombian James Rodríguez on Brazilian soil has undoubtedly generated a furor. With just one game played, the coffee grower could already win his first title in Brazil, after learning this Wednesday that his team beat Corinthians in the Cup semifinal.

In the classic from São Paulo, James’s team became strong at Morumbí, categorically defeating their rival and reversing the series that was down by one goal. Although James did not have minutes in this match, he advanced to the grand final of this tournament and will be able to add another trophy to his career.

And although he did not play, James was already in the Sao Paulo locker room, and immediately made a forceful claim to the club’s directives, a fact that was recorded on video. The soccer player did not like what he saw when he arrived at his position in the dressing room and asked for a change for an upcoming game.

Now, in the video you can see James Rodríguez in a calm and slightly funny way, expressing his nonconformity with the image they put on him in the dressing room: “He is a very serious face. I am a guy with a happy face, always smiling”, said James, about to laugh; and then he pointed to the image and repeated: “This is very serious.”
