Jada Lynch (15) lives in the United States and was allowed to do an internship with the American youth earlier this year. This summer she will play the European Championship for -16 year olds in Izmir (Tur) with the Belgian Young Cats.
Belgium opened the tournament with a win against Greece (58-32), then the young team lost to Slovenia (79-71) and Spain (67-45). The 1/8th final against Croatia follows tomorrow.
Lynch always left the field as the leading scorer of the Young Cats. Against Spain she made 21 points, Greece and Slovenia both got 12. In addition, she picked up 7 or 8 rebounds each time.
As the daughter of a Belgian mother and an American father, Lynch can still choose which country she plays for. She only has to make a final choice with the A-team.
