Victory for Álvaro González de Zárate and “Lilyth” in the big test of the second day of the five-star national championship that takes place in Chas. The victory corresponded to the young Charlize O’Connor from the Balearic Islands who, riding “Cados”, was the fastest of the 13 participants who completed the second phase without demolishing. She did it in 40.29 seconds. After her, another young man, the Cantabrian Nicolás Cobo, repeated the podium and third was the Andalusian Alejandro Fernández.

The second test was the Corzosa trophy, a scale “A with a stopwatch” and a height of 1.30 in which 88 participants took part and in which female dominance was recorded, since the first four classified were Amazons. The Asturian Ana Fernández prevailed riding “Chica du Buisson Z”, with which she completed the course without penalty in 59.25 seconds, almost three seconds less than Sira Martínez, the daughter of the former national coach and current coach of Paris Saint Germain. Luis Enrique, with “Devise du Salbey”. Third was Leticia Riva with “Conan de Taute” just 9 hundredths behind Sira.

The second height test, third in the program yesterday Saturday, was the Caser Grupo Helvetia trophy, with obstacles of 1.40 and a “Two special phases” scale. In it, 55 pairs took part and the victory corresponded to the German nationalized Spanish and who runs with a license from the Madrid federation Elena Appendino, who, with “Iceman”, was the fastest of the eight participants who did the two phases without knockdowns . Her time of 35.59 seconds gave her victory ahead of the Cantabrian Iván Serrano, with “Nemo de Sauco”, and Mariano Martínez Bastida, who also runs with a Madrid license. The riders from the capital put three representatives in the top four.

The five-star national championship ends today with the dispute of two grand prizes, one for the Gold league and the other for the Silver, which will begin at 8:30 am.
