Honduran National Team Shines in Central American Baseball Tournament

SAN PEDRO SULA, HONDURAS.- The Honduran National Team competed in Panama for the men’s baseball tournament developed by the Council of the Central American Isthmus of Sports and Recreation, Codicader.

The 13 and 14-year-olds had a very important international touch for the next competitions they will face, they were measured against the local Canal team, Nicaragua and Belize.

The catracho kids developed a remarkable performance with closely contested matches against the Central American powers in the first round. Already in the decisive instance the national team fell 6-2 against Nicaragua.

In this way, he guaranteed the bronze medal with the technical direction of coach Mario Reyes. The matches were developed on August 23 and 24, the competition being held at Rod Carew Stadium.

It should be noted that these Central American student games will continue their competitions in Honduras, soccer and swimming, from October 8 to 14; in Nicaragua, combat sports, such as judo, karate, wrestling and taekwondo, from September 14 to 17; and in Costa Rica, athletics (conventional and disability), from September 21 to 27.
