The face wasn’t quite so smeared with dirt and the biceps, well, they were a little bit narrower, but otherwise the Munich high jumper Tobias Potye gave a formidable Rambo double this Tuesday evening in the final of the World Championships in Budapest. He looked at the camera at least as determinedly, scolded, jumped in the air and scolded even louder after breaking the 2.36 meters on the third attempt.
The favorites had actually paved the way for him to the medals, then Olympic champion Gianmarco Tamberi (2.36 meters), the American JuVaughn Harrison (2.36) and Mutaz Essa Barshim (2.33) finished first through third.
