On August 12, Nagasaki Veruka held a basketball class and open practice for the top team at the Isahaya City Central Gymnasium, attracting a total of 750 people, including class participants and boosters (fans).
This event is a professional sports collaboration and exchange project sponsored by Isahaya City. It has been in operation since last year.
88 elementary school students and 51 junior high school students participated in the class led by the Nagasaki Verka Youth Coach. The themes were “competition” and “individual skills,” and participants were earnestly engaged in enthusiastic instruction.
In the first open practice by the top team under the new system, the venue was filled with excitement with the players’ powerful and speedy play.
Mayor Okubo said, “Congratulations to Nagasaki Verca on participating in the first division of the B League in the shortest time. We will support the match against Kawasaki at the Central Gymnasium on December 2nd and 3rd.
