Forward Gabriel Deck joined the training sessions of the Argentine National Team in Santiago del Estero, ahead of the pre-qualifier for the basketball pre-Olympic, with a view to the debut on Monday the 14th against Panama.
Deck, from his last season at Real Madrid, arrived to be part of the delegation and will be available in the friendly against Uruguay.
He will also be on Saturday the 12th against the U-22 team that he trained in Bahía Blanca, under the orders of Federico Fernández and Martín Villagrán.
Argentina will have Panama, the Bahamas and Cuba in its zone. The first two of each group will qualify for the semifinals. Then, the winner of this Olympic Prequalifier will get a ticket to one of the four FIBA Olympic Qualifiers, to be held from July 2 to 7, 2024.
Next year’s Olympic Qualifier will be held in four venue-zones to be defined with six teams each, granting the winner of each one a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
