Formosa Judokas Shine at Centro República Championship, Earn Bronze Medals

The judokas Abril Villalba and Lautaro Ruiz, had good performances that earned them bronze medals in the Centro República Championship recently held in the Cordoba city of Villa Carlos Paz

As every time you have to go out and show that judo in Formosa has reason to be excited, days ago two of its representatives had an outstanding performance in an important national competition held in the province of Córdoba.

These are Abril Villalba and Lautaro Ruiz, who knew how to rise to the occasion to get onto the podium in third place in both cases.

In the case of Villalba, she is a fighter belonging to the UPCN Judo Academy, who is recovering from an injury and managed to win a commendable bronze medal in the Cadet category up to 64 kg.

On Ruiz’s side, he is a member of the Céspedes Judo Academy and is preparing to participate as a member of the Argentine team in the South American Championship in Asunción (Paraguay) in the Children’s B category up to 53 kg.

As for what his performance was, it should be noted that he did not give the weight but he competed in the same way in the 58 kg Division, also managing to stay in third place.

Now other commitments will come, for which the judokas of the different dojos seek their best set-up in order to be able to say present in the best conditions.

In this sense, the sixth edition of the Regional Judo Tournament “Day of the Public Employee” UPCN Great Cup, organized by the UPCN Judo Academy under the direction of Professor Mariano Mobilio, was confirmed for September 16.

The competition, which is by invitation, will take place in the multipurpose room of the “17 de Octubre” campsite located in the north access of the city.

To be part of it, there will be time to confirm your presence until the 13th of next month, and expect a good response from judokas as has happened on previous occasions.
