On this first day, morphological exams were performed to measure the percentage of fat and muscle mass, in addition to strength tests. According to Marcelo Panzera, Flu’s physiologist, the results will help to improve the team’s performance during the season.

“We evaluated the strength of the extensor and flexor muscles using equipment called isokinetics, which measures their strength and helps identify possible muscle imbalances. In addition, we also performed a ‘force frame’ to measure the difference in strength between adductor and flexor muscles. abductors. On top of that, we were able to map out the athletes, what each one needs to work harder and thus develop individual training so that they can perform better”, he explained.

The team returns after a positive first half, with the best campaign in the club’s history in the Brazilian Women’s A2, winning the runner-up and access to the A1 Series. With the State Championship in sight, the team turns its attention to trying another unprecedented feat: the Carioca title.

The competition will start in August for Búzios, Duque de Caxias, Pérolas Negras, Serra Macaense, Tigres and Rio de Janeiro, which will compete in the preliminary phase. The four best placed qualify to play the Guanabara Cup against Fluminense, Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco.
