Feyenoord and Francesco Antonucci will separate immediately. The club from Rotterdam announced this on Tuesday afternoon.
This ends a stay of three seasons in which the midfielder was never able to break any pots. The player’s contract is terminated.
In three years, Antonucci only came to one official match on behalf of Feyenoord. The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a left winger, was another purchase from former technical director Frank Arnesen.
Under trainer Arne Slot, Feyenoord started playing differently, not needing Antonucci. The midfielder was then loaned to FC Volendam, for which he made quite a few minutes in both the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie. In the past he formed a successful duo with Gijs Smal in the ‘KKD’.
