The Frenchman is the man for the 1-0. After the cup (7-0 in Leipzig) and the league (1-0 against Darmstadt), Eintracht’s top scorer also opened the door to the Conference League after a fine assist from Mario Götze (6th).
Last season, the Frenchman secured Eintracht’s place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a 2-1 win in Lisbon.
Coach Dino Toppmöller surprised with Jens Petter Hauge in the starting eleven instead of Max and with Omar Marmoush for Lindstrøm. Eintracht launches many attacks on the wings. Only the last pass into the penalty area didn’t work.
At the back, the new defense with Willian Pacho, Robin Koch and Tuta stops most of Levski’s attacks. Even playmaker Götze bravely steps in between.
Only the Brazilian Welton escapes Aurélio Buta on the right too often. Too bad that Ronaldo didn’t push an assist directly in front of the goal over the line, but played it across – into the hands of goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (39th).
