Eintracht Frankfurt qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League Playoffs by finishing seventh in the Bundesliga last season. To take part in the group stage of the 2023/24 Conference League, Frankfurt must prevail in qualifying against Bulgaria’s PFC Levski Sofia.
The Bulgarians have already struggled through two qualifying rounds, beating North Macedonia’s KF Shkupi (2-0, 1-0) and Israel’s Hapoel Be’er Sheva (0-0, 2-1).
The first leg between Levski Sofia and Eintracht Frankfurt will take place in Sofia on August 24. The second leg in Frankfurt will be played on August 31st.

Well into injury time, it looked as if Frankfurt would win the playoff first leg in Sofia. But then substitute Hassimi Fadiaga hit the left corner with a fantastic shot from 30 meters.
