Dominican Republic Dominates Puerto Rico in Final Six Cup Volleyball Match

The Dominican Republic women’s volleyball team easily defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-11) in a reassigned match that had no importance for the order in which the teams would finish in the regular phase of the Final Six Cup.

The starting Vielka Peralta, with eleven points, led the offensive for “Las Reinas del Caribe”, which finished with a 4-1 record and will face Cuba this Friday night in semifinal B.

Peralta was escorted by center backs Lisvel Eve Mejía, who scored nine, six in attacks and three blocks, and by Cándida Arias with seven.

For the Puerto Rican team, which did not attend with its starting team and ended with 0-5, the most copious scorers were Sofía Vega and Camila Soto, with four points each.
