David García Cabrera joins as Joan Peñarroya’s new assistant coach
With a few days to go before the start of the 2023-24 preseason, Baskonia confirms the coaching staff that will accompany Joan Peñarroya in this new campaign. David García Cabrera joins the Barça discipline as the new assistant coach after the departure of Álex Formento.
David García Cabrera (Barcelona, 1982) is the new addition to Baskonia’s coaching staff. After 12 years working as an assistant coach at FC Barcelona, he arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz to complete, together with David Gil and Xabi Aspe, the team that will accompany Joan Peñarroya next season.
The rest of the technical staff for the new 2023-24 season remains:
Individual technique coach: Alessandro Noccera
Head of the medical area: Dr. Luis González Lago
Physical trainer: Hugo Salazar
Physical recovery: Oskar Bilbao
Physiotherapists: Isaac Alonso, Asier Ugarte and Ibai Allúe
Delegate: Ander Viribay
Material manager: Santiago Matilla
