Damian Lillard Remains Determined to Join Miami Despite Temptations from Other Teams

Despite the fact that Damian Lillard seems determined to go to Miami, voices from other teams try to tempt him into changing his mind. As Marc Spears has assured in his appearance on the podcast Sports by NorthwestJayson Tatum has been one of the men who has tried to seduce him with other ideas, looking for him to contemplate Boston as another option.

According to him, the Celtics have everything that attracts Lillard to the Heat. After all, Damian believes that his chances of winning a ring are greater in the East, and one of the points that he calls Miami is that it is a team that has been in the conference elite for years and has managed to reach the Finals without counting on him, so his incorporation could give the necessary impetus to try to reach the title. And if these are the ingredients, the Celtics also fit.

They fit… on paper. Because in practice, Spears confirms that Tatum’s attempts have not paid off. Lillard still has the unmistakable desire to go to Miami, and so far nothing has been able to change his mind.

All in all, a trade between the Blazers and Celtics seems even more complicated, so a change of mind from Dame would mean nothing definitive either. And it is that, assuming that Portland wants a player around whom to build a project (as it seems that it is looking for in the negotiations with Miami), is Jaylen Brown that player? Is Boston willing to include him in this hypothetical move? Do the rebuilding Blazers want a man with a $316 million guaranteed salary ahead of them?

We will never know. Because, like every wealthy retiree or like every kid with a passion for Disney, Lillard wants to go to Florida. And it seems that, sooner or later, he will end there.
