CJ Stroud Throws First NFL Touchdown Pass in Preseason Win for Houston Texans

The second overall pick of the last NFL Draft, quarterback CJ Stroud, threw his first touchdown pass in the Goodell homer.

Sunday night, in a preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, the hope of the Houston Texans contributed to a 17-13 victory for his team.

Stroud started the match and found the zone to pay on the second session on offense for his team. He joined wide receiver Nico Collins on three yards for a touchdown.

The 21-year-old pivot completed his game with two passes on four attempts for 16 yards. In three preseason games, he completed 11 of 20 stints for 89 yards. He was also the victim of an interception.

For the Saints, tight end Jimmy Graham caught a three-yard pass for a major. This is a happy conclusion for the man who was arrested by the police eight days ago. The veteran had been handcuffed after wandering in traffic due to a medical incident.

The Saints went on to explain that he had suffered what could appear to be an epileptic seizure.

This match was the last of the preparatory calendar. The NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 7 with a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions.
