Chinese Tennis Player Yibing Wu Collapses on Court Again, Raises Health Concerns

Just a few weeks after his moment of shock at Wimbledon, Chinese tennis player Yibing Wu (ATP 90) once again reported health problems on the court.

At the Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, the 23-year-old had to retire after suddenly collapsing on the way to his chair. Footage shows him being supported by court staff when his legs suddenly gave way.

The young Chinese had to give up the game when the score was 4-1 in his favor, which is why the Japanese Yosuke Watanuki (ATP 99) advanced to the round of 32.

He was examined by doctors and it was found that his heart rate was an alarming 187. Apparently a known problem with Wu. He eventually returned to the field, but lost the first-round duel.

It was later claimed that the young player suffered from indigestion.
