Madrid, Aug 25 (EFE).- The Spanish Carolina Marín, sixth seed, beat the Taiwanese Tai Tzu-Ying this Friday and secured her place in the semifinal of the badminton world championships in Copenhagen, after a victory in minutes, by 21-16 and 21-14.
Marín managed to beat a direct rival, since the Taiwanese occupies two places higher in the world ranking, and will play on Saturday against the Japanese Akane Yamaguchi for a place in the final of the tournament. In addition, the Andalusian has secured the fourth world medal of her career. EFE
