Ninety years of history for a partnership that has made people play sports and has also given splendid national and international laurels. We are talking about Canottieri Sanremo which, this evening, taking advantage of the August 15th night and the pyromusical show for the Madonna della Costa, organized a dinner and a gala to celebrate the important result achieved.
In the presence of exponents of local and regional politics and the vast majority of members but also of entrepreneurs and freelance professionals from the city of flowers, the 90th anniversary of the sports club was celebrated, today chaired by Sergio Tommasini: “It’s a day exciting – he told us – and we wanted to do it on this special evening for Sanremo. Let’s celebrate 90 years of many athletes, big and small, who competed and also wore the blue shirt. I want to remember many presidents like Lanza and the two Vacchinos who brought prestige to our partnership”.
We are just a few months away from the start of work on the ‘new’ old port and, a few months away from the electoral campaign, what do you think of the project: “Since the very beginning, we have always made a contribution to the municipality. We make it an integral part of this revolution that sees us as history, to be maintained and protected”. Still speaking of the electoral campaign, these are the last days of pause before the actual start: “The city will change in 2024 and we hope that there will be some continuity and some less. There are great interests in Sanremo that must be carried out with competence and seriousness “.
At the birthday of Canottieri also the Region with the Vice President Alessandro Piana: “We could not miss such an important appointment to make our closeness felt. It is an important milestone, like victories and successes, but also the sporting and social reference that the club has always given to Sanremo and the entire province of Imperia, with very important successes over the years, from 1933 to today”.
Deputy Mayor Costanza Pireri was present for the Municipality: “The value of Canottieri is great and, with these 90 years, it has confirmed the great work and service to the community. And, yesterday’s young people are still here as ‘masters’, confirming a comfortable, familiar and socializing environment. Without forgetting the results at a competitive level. Canottieri is a great pride… happy birthday!”
Also among the guests: Carola Maccá, regional president of FIC (Canoeing Federation) and Enrico Amabile, regional president of FICK (Canoe and Kayak Federation) and Alessandro Zunino, CONI Provincial Delegate.
