The BG Göttingen is starting the new basketball season with a delay. The first (home) opponent is Crailsheim.

Göttingen – Due to the participation in the Basketball Champions League qualification at the end of September in Belek (Turkey), the start of the BG Göttingen in the 2023/24 BBL season has been delayed. While the German champion ratiopharm Ulm opens the season on Wednesday, September 27th, the team of BG head coach Olivier Foucart is staying on the southern Mediterranean coast.

Thus, the violets only enter the league on the 3rd match day with their home duel against the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim.

The magicians will be guests in the Sparkassen-Arena on Saturday, October 7th, from 6.30 p.m. A week later, the Goettingen team have to play in the BBL Cup. In the round of 16, on October 14th or 15th, the BG will have an away game in the winner of the first round game between promoted Rasta Vechta and the Rostock Seawolves.
