The Mexican Baseball League (LMB), in conjunction with the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), revealed this Wednesday afternoon the schedule for the first edition of the Baseball Champions League Americas (BCL). in which it is planned to bring together the champion clubs of the baseball leagues around the world.
The announcement was made during a press conference led by Horacio de la Vega, Executive President of the LMB and the Local Organizing Committee of the Baseball Champions League; Guillermo Ramírez, Commissioner of the Baseball Champions League; Carlos Sáenz, Director of the Sports Institute of the State of Yucatán; Jesús Armando Aguilar, Technical Secretary of Sports of the Mérida City Council; and Juan José Arellano, President of the Board of Directors of the Lions of Yucatán; taking as stage the Russell Gutiérrez Media Room of the Kukulcán Alamo Park.
In it, it was detailed that the tournament will begin next Thursday, September 28 and will end on October 1, with all the matches being played in the also known as ‘Park of the Feathered Serpent’.
So far, the teams that have been confirmed to participate in this event are the champions of the American Association of the United States of America, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks; the Alazanes de Granma, monarchs of the Cuban Baseball League; and the Caimanes de Barranquilla, winners of the Colombian Baseball League.

FORMAT OF THE BCL AMERICAS
The format will be round-robin with games to nine innings and confrontations between the four participating teams. There will be seven matches in four days and the first two places will go to the grand final.
