WHAT HAPPENED?
Barcelona had been eyeing Russian star Arsen Zakharyan since January but had to withdraw from the competition at the last minute due to financial difficulties. Now, the 20-year-old midfielder officially joined Real Sociedad last Saturday (19/8).
This transfer failure was quite embarrassing for Xavi, because the Barca coach had recorded a special video to greet Zakharyan and asked him to join Blaugrana.

THE SITUATION:
Zakharyan had a great season for Dynamo Moscow in 2022/23, scoring five goals and contributing 10 assists in 37 appearances across competitions.
