Bahamas National Team Dominates Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Santiago del Estero

Since the Bahamas announced that it was traveling to our country with a National Team with its three NBAs to play the Pre-qualifying tournament for a repechage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Santiago del Estero has been revolutionized. In each game, DeAndre Ayton and Eric Gordon, of the Phoenix Suns, and Buddy Hield, of the Indiana Pacers, are the reference for boys, rivals and journalists.

Bahamas beat Argentina and stayed with Group B; last night Prigioni’s team thrashed Cuba and both will play semifinals on Saturday. This Friday is the rest day for the campuses and what did the Bahamians do: they went for a walk through the streets of Santiago. There they passed through the Plaza Libertad and were surprised by the people who were dancing. It’s an open class, you can participate,” someone told them. And the guys lit up.

Palms and half a turn, second and again the round. Brilliant.

forecast and wish: everything indicates that Argentina and the Bahamas will win their semifinals (against Chile and Uruguay, respectively) and will play on Sunday in a full stadium for the only ticket to travel next year to a playoff that grants a place for the Olympic Games in Paris. Well…you have to dance them!
