Arthur Rinderknech passes without shaking against Diego Schwartzman in the first round of the US Open

A fanfare debut for Arthur Rinderknech, 73rd in the world and easy winner of the Argentinian Diego Schwartzman on Tuesday, in three sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-2). The Varois conceded only one break point, saved, throughout the match.

Despite a complex draw and an American preparation which came to a halt, with only one meeting – lost in the 1st round of Winston-Salem against Omni Kumar, 355th in the world (6-3, 7-6) -, Rinderknech managed perfectly against the ‘Argentine.

Humbert did not exist against Berrettini

It must be said that with 19 aces and only one break against him, at 4-1 in the first set, the Frenchman was only very rarely worried about his service (86% on the first ball). His 42 winning shots compensated for the 32 unforced errors, the only downside that will have to be corrected in the next round.
