AML81 Judo Club Prepares for Classes Resumption with New Disciplines

The AML81 judokas are preparing for the resumption of classes from Monday, September 12. Indeed, Maxime Benoît, club teacher, will lead the lessons from 5 p.m. for judokas aged 6 to 10, then at 6:30 p.m. for 10-13 year olds and finally at 7:30 p.m. for those over 13. years. Classes for baby judo, 4-6 years old, will take place on Wednesdays from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Fridays, classes will be led by another teacher, Marcel Jeanne, and these classes will take place at the same time slots as the Monday.

In addition to judo, the club offers the practice of jujitsu self defense in its traditional form, at the same times as adult classes. This year, a new discipline will be offered with taiso.

Considered ideal for seniors, it balances the body and mind in the face of aging, refocuses and improves motor skills. Taiso allows you to always stay in motion. This discipline also allows you to work on cardio-respiratory endurance and muscle strengthening thanks to movements from the heritage of the martial art. Taiso lessons will begin on September 13 and will take place every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the dojo in Arthès. It is Dominique Taillandier, new teacher within the AML81 and the judo club of Arthès who will animate the courses. The whole month of September will allow you to discover judo, Jujitsu, and taïso. Anyone wishing to join the AML81 will be welcome. Note that the lescurien martial arts club will be present at the association festival in the leisure area on Saturday September 2, and that all the leaders will be delighted to welcome future members.

All the information is available on the club’s Facebook page: lescure81 martial arts.
