The American Nate Irving will be the hitting coach of the Braves de Margarita for the 2023-2024 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
“I am very excited to experience Venezuelan baseball culture at its best,” said Nate Irving, who currently serves as the hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds in the Arizona Complex League.
“I know the league pretty well, as I have many friends and teammates who have participated in it,” added the former catcher.
Nate Irving had playing experience in college baseball and saw action in independent leagues. In the Reds he had the opportunity to coincide with manager José Moreno and that is why the challenge in the Braves has his special touch.
“José Moreno and I had the pleasure of working together there. We are excited to try to bring a dynamic attacking style to Margarita”, said the American.

“My goal is to give them all the tools and resources they need to have a championship season,” he insisted firmly.
In principle, Julio Morillo had been appointed to the position, but according to the island team, he will not be able to assume the position because he must attend to personal matters.
