Alianza Lima Goes to TAS to Reverse Defeat Against Sporting Cristal

On February 5, Alianza Lima did not appear in the match against Sporting Cristal, on date 3 of the Betsson League 1 Opening Tournament. What was the reason? Following the same line, the directors of the current two-time Peruvian soccer champion raised their protests against the TAS, an entity that has already announced the date of the hearing that will have -as its main theme- the request of intimates to reverse the defeat against the celestial and obtain the rescheduling of the duel.

“Alianza Lima goes to the TAS in search of revoking the ‘walkover’, match lost 3-0 vs. Sporting Cristal -at the beginning of the championship- in the dispute over broadcasting rights. A hearing was set for 10/9 in the case TAS 2023 / A / 9533 ″, said the lawyer Marcelo Bee Sellares, on his social networks.

It should be noted that those from La Victoria are leaders of the accumulated standings, with 55 points. Universitario (54) and Sporting Cristal (53) are their closest pursuers. After winning the Opening Tournament, it is key for the intimates to reverse that defeat against the bajopontines, since it would give them a new option to move away in first place and ensure their direct pass to the final of the Betsson 1 League. A not minor detail, in the Clausura they march in fifth place, with 13 units.
