MADRID, 6 (EUROPA PRESS)

The Spanish rider Fermín Aldeguer (Boscoscuro) has won this Sunday the victory in the Moto2 race of the British Grand Prix, the ninth round of the Motorcycle World Championship, leading an entirely Spanish podium along with Arón Canet (Kalex) and Pedro Acosta (Kalex ), new leader of the intermediate displacement.

At 18 years and 123 days old, the man from La Ñora achieved his first victory in the championship and became the third youngest rider in history to win a Moto2 race, after completing an impeccable test. Meanwhile, his countryman Acosta rises to the lead in the drivers’ standings (156), beating the hitherto leader, Italian Tony Arbolino (Kalex) by two points.

The Boscoscuro of Fermín Aldeguer and Alonso López overtook polesitter Acosta once the traffic lights went out, just before an accident in the first corner, with Borja Gómez involved, forced the yellow flag to be displayed in that sector.

Despite everything, neither the man from Mazarrón nor Arón Canet (Kalex) allowed the two Beta Tools SpeedUp riders to escape. A few laps later, they realized Aldeguer, and later the Corbera rider climbed to the first position.

The Valencian pushed hard, with Acosta trying not to be left behind. With nine laps to go, Aldeguer, at 2:05 pace, was in the lead, and only one lap after him put him in front of the race. From behind, Alonso López went to the ground and said goodbye to his options.

Little by little, he established himself in the lead and entered the finish line ahead of Canet and Aldeguer, who completed the Spanish podium at Silverstone. In addition, Manu González (Kalex) finished fifth, Jeremy Alcoba (Kalex) finished eleventh, Albert Arenas (Kalex) fourteenth, Alex Escrig (Forward) eighteenth, Marcos Ramírez (Forward) eighteenth and Izan Guevara (Kalex) twenty-first.

DAVID ALONSO, EPIC COMEBACK IN MOTO3

For his part, the Colombian rider David Alonso (GasGas) prevailed in the Moto3 test after completing an epic comeback from the last place on the grid to first place, while Dani Holgado (KTM) continues to lead with a third place .

The 17-year-old ‘rookie’, born in Madrid and to a Colombian mother, thus becomes the first ‘coffee’ rider to win the World Championship, all in a day in which he led a podium finish completed by the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna) and Holgado.

The man from Sant Vicent del Raspeig leads the Japanese by 22 points in the small category overall, new second place after the fall of Jaume Masià (Honda). The Valencian, ‘poleman’ on Saturday, was left without scoring – he was eighteenth – after crashing with 13 laps to go when he was leading the race.

In addition, Iván Ortolá (KTM) was just short of the podium, fourth, ahead of David Muñoz (KTM) and David Salvador (KTM), fifth and sixth respectively. In addition, José Antonio Rueda (KTM) was eighth, Xavi Artigas (CFMoto) finished twenty-first and Ana Carrasco (KTM), twenty-third.
