AC Milan News – Milan put in an extraordinary performance in a friendly match against the Tunisian team, Etoile du Sahel, by packing a resounding 4-0 victory. Ruben Loftus-Cheek became a star by scoring a hat-trick, while Olivier Giroud finished the game 4-0 from the spot.
This match took place at the Milanello training complex, and was closed to spectators subject to certain rules.
Several players were left out, either through injury or transfer interest. Divock Origi, Mattia Caldara, Alexis Saelemaekers, Charles De Ketelaere, Fode Ballo-Toure, Marko Lazetic and Ismael Bennacer are among those not playing.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the former Chelsea midfielder, was the center of attention from the start, opening the scoring with a volley after Cristian Pulisic’s cross. The Englishman then slid in to meet a cross from Rafael Leao, before scoring again with a volley following an assist from Pulisic.
As soon as the second half started, Giroud did not hesitate to convert the penalty after a foul in the box.
Milan will start the Serie A season on Tuesday, 22 August, against Bologna. Interestingly, in this match, there were no substitutions, so the main line-up played the full 90 minutes.
