Megan and Caitlin, mother and daughter, have recently moved to a new city. Unfortunately, the 10-year-old daughter hasn’t gotten used to the change and this almost makes Megan regret it. So she decides to adopt a puppy for her little girl. They’ll call him Jake, a specimen who often gets into trouble due to his very heated character. In reality, the dog was never abandoned. His true master is called Ben, a baseball player. Due to his activity he was forced to leave him in a kennel. But now Jake is in the hands of Megan and Caitlin. Ben absolutely wants his dog back. But Caitlin has grown fond of Jake and she absolutely doesn’t want to give him up.
