25-Year-Old Athlete Sets World Record at World Championship with a Time of 12.96 Seconds

The 25-year-old athlete covered the distance faster than 13 seconds, winning with a result of 12.96 seconds.

The second place with a result of 13.07 seconds was taken by the champion of the Tokyo Olympic Games, Jamaican Hensl Parchment, while the American Daniel Roberts was another two hundredths of a second slower, taking the third place.

Latvia is represented by nine track and field athletes at the World Championship.

The master race will take place until August 27, with the participation of more than 2,000 track and field athletes from 202 countries of the world.
