Yeosu City Promotes Hometown Love Donation Campaign at Badminton Championships

[미디어타임즈=이기현 기자] Yeosu City operated a promotional booth for the hometown love donation campaign during the event at the Jinnam Gymnasium where the ‘2023 Yeosu Korea Open Badminton Championships’ was held.

At the PR booth, Yeosu’s representative specialty products and popular return gifts such as leaf mustard kimchi, fish set, anchovy set, strawberry mochi, germinated brown rice, and Poongrang shrimp were displayed, while a promotional video for the hometown love donation campaign was screened, attracting the attention of contest officials and visitors.

In addition, 400 promotional debts for the Love Hometown Donation Campaign provided by Kwangju Bank were distributed to visitors, and tofu cookies produced by the social enterprise Cookiea were provided as souvenirs to the donors.

Lee Ok-jae, head of the collection department, said, “We plan to operate promotional booths for donations to love hometowns at various events and festivals in the future.”

On the other hand, the hometown love donation system allows individuals to donate an amount of up to 5 million won per year to local governments excluding their address, and tax deductions and gifts (within 30% of donations) are provided to donors. You can donate through Hometown Love e-Eum or Nonghyup Bank nationwide.
