Wissam Ben Yedder, striker of the French football team, accused of rape – Liberation

With his little brother, seven years his junior, they are accused by two young women aged 19 and 20 of having imposed sexual acts on them. Both filed a complaint.

The facts would have happened at the beginning of the week after an evening that the four people spent on the Côte d’Azur, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Still according to France info, “the investigations are beginning and no hearing or custody of the respondents has taken place”.

The public prosecutor of Nice confirmed in the afternoon this Thursday, July 13 the existence of “two complaints for rape” for acts which “would have been committed Monday in Beausoleil”. On the other hand, he assures us that we “ignore the identity of the second person targeted”, therefore not confirming that it is his brother.

Monaco player since 2019, after passing through Toulouse and Seville (Spain), Wissam Ben Yedder is one of the most prominent attackers in the French championship. He finished second top scorer behind Kylian Mbappé in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons, and co-top scorer in 2019-2020. Winner of the Nations League in 2021 with the Blues, he had not been selected for the World Cup in Qatar this winter.

Update at 5:25 p.m.: the public prosecutor of Nice confirms that two complaints are aimed at the footballer.
