(ANSA) – LONDON, JULY 08 – “It’s incredible, I didn’t think it could happen, there must be something special here in this place”. Thus Matteo Berrettini, immediately after beating Alexander Zverev in a match in the third round of Wimbledon. Berrettini, conditioned for a long time by physical problems, this year was his 17th match of the season.
“Last year I wasn’t able to play because I had caught the covid – Berrettini continues -. This tournament changed my career and it’s special for me to be here, on this field. I missed competing and playing so much, the public loved me he passed away and I thank him for supporting me.”
On Monday the big match against Carlos Alcaraz, on the Central.
