Tour de France: when Cosnefroy toasts with his fan-club in the middle of a stage in the Col de Joux Plane

If they are often close to the runners, the spectators always end up moving away, sometimes at the last moment, to let the runners continue on their way. However, at the foot of the Col de Joux Plane, the funnel closed on Benoît Cosnefroy. Much to the delight of the AG2R-Citroën cyclist. Welcomed by his fan club, deafening encouragement and smoke bombs, the 27-year-old Frenchman stopped to enjoy the jubilation.

All smiles, he exchanged hugs before carrying his bike at arm’s length. Cosnefroy knew that his fan club, which is also that of Aurélien Paret-Peintre, was waiting for him there. Paret-Peintre, precisely, was born in Annemasse, the starting city of this fourteenth stage of the Tour de France. The “FCC” therefore wanted to mark the occasion by reserving a special welcome committee for the two AG2R-Citroën riders.

“We are here with the FCC (Four Cycling Club), a group of friends who come to encourage Aurélien Paret-Peintre and Benoît Cosnefroy, smiled Margaux, Cosnefroy’s wife at the microphone of France 2. We invite everyone to come and drink a shot at the bar, eat, have a good time and win good little gifts too. Paret-Peintre had encouraged fans of the Grande Boucle to join the band earlier in the day.

“We saw the fall at the start, chained Clara, companion of Paret-Peintre. We hope it’s going well, that they’re not too hot, we’ll have something to cool them down soon so it’s going to be cool. Barbecue, we painted the road all night, we closed the pass, it’s going well! »
