Tour de France: Vingegaard widens the gap, Ciccone saves his peas… the rankings after the 17th stage

Jonas Vingegaard overwhelmed Tadej Pogacar. In great difficulty on the Col de la Loze, the Slovenian conceded nearly 6 minutes on the yellow jersey, and said goodbye to his last hopes of final victory. He now points to 7′35″ in the general classification. Slightly more dashing than his teammate, Adam Yates consolidates his third place ahead of Carlos Rodriguez. Felix Gall and Simon Yates, who finished in the first two places on the stage, are also closing in and are now 8th and 5th.

Present in the breakaway, Giulio Ciccone saved his polka dot jersey by taking the lead in the first three difficulties of the day. He is nevertheless under threat from Felix Gall, who pocketed 40 points at the top of the Col de la Loze.
