Tour de France | Stage 2: schedule, route and profile of the stage

The second stage of the Tour de France takes place entirely through Basque territory with a 210 km route between Vitoria and San Sebastián, the longest of this edition, a challenge with the aroma of a classic with 5 difficulties, that of Jaizkibel 16 kilometers from the finish line.

If there were outstanding details in the first stage, in the second the emotion is guaranteed. The start will be fast, on comfortable terrain that can lead to a break, but then a continuous rise and fall begins that will be felt in the legs, to end with an explosive scene where the men of the general will appear.

In the 5 ports menu, to start the Udana High (3rd, 4.5 km at 5.1 percent), followed by Cota de Aztiria (4th, 2.7 km at 5.3). At km 140 the peloton will face the Alto de Alkiza (3rd, 4.2 km to 5.7), later the Cota de Gurutze (4th, 2.6 km to 4.7) and finally the ascent to Jaizkibel (2nd , 8.1 km to 5.3), possible judge of the stage.

The departure will take place in Vitoria at 12:25 p.m. and the arrival is scheduled between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m..
