June 1, 2017 — Things are different this time, but the Warriors and Cavaliers meet in the Finals for the third straight year.

February 18, 2018 — As captains of the All-Star Game, Team LeBron faces Team Stephen in the first All-Star Game with the teams chosen by the captains. LeBron’s team won the match and he was chosen as the MVP.
May 31, 2018 — The fourth and final meeting in the Finals between the Warriors and the Cavaliers looked much different than the first. Now Kyrie Irving had gone to Boston, and Cleveland had to field its All-Star duo, LeBron and Kevin Love, against Golden State’s all-star quartet.
LeBron had one of the best games of his career, with 51 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, but the Cavaliers lost by 10 points in overtime. Curry and the Warriors would end up winning the Finals 4-0.
May 19, 2021 — LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, seventh in the Western Conference, face Stephen Curry and the eighth-ranked Golden State Warriors in the Play-In Tournament game. The setting was much different than the Finals, but this was the fifth consecutive year that the two superstars met in the postseason.
James achieved a triple-double, scored 22 points and made a triple for the Lakers to take the lead and that made the difference to qualify Los Angeles for the Playoffs. Golden State would lose to Memphis two days later and go unranked.
February 10, 2022 — LeBron James selected Stephen Curry third overall in the NBA All-Star draft. Before the game, the two were honored as members of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
Curry was the MVP of the All-Star Game, making a record 16 3-pointers in a night in which he scored 50 points, while LeBron hit the game-winning shot. Seeing the duo in action was as incredible as could be expected.
April 8, 2022 — On the second episode of the fifth season of “The Shop,” LeBron James said that Stephen Curry is the NBA player he would most like to play with, citing his recent All-Star success as one reason.
“Steph Curry is who I want to play with, in basketball today… I love everything about him. He’s lethal. You better be defending him since he came to the ballpark. You’d want to defend him since he’s getting out of bed.”
May 2, 2023 — Two years after meeting in the Play-In, the Warriors and the Lakers meet in the Western Conference semifinals.
Many names around him have changed, but this is the fifth postseason matchup between Curry and James.
The 39-year-old LeBron averaged 24.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game to lead the Lakers to a six-game win over the 35-year-old Curry, who contributed 26.7 points, 7.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game.
