A few days ago, the future performance hall in Las Vegas called “Sphere” inaugurated its impressive fully backlit spherical roof.
On the occasion of the 4th of July and the National Day of the United States, Sphere lit up for the first time with a video show that did not go unnoticed.
A few days later, Sphere took the form of a basketball during the NBA 2K24 Las Vegas Summer League.
A spherical video screen that measures a total of 54,000m2which simply makes it the largest LED screen in the world.
“The exosphere is more than a screen or a billboard, it’s a living architecture” explains Guy Barnett, SVP Brand Strategy and Creative Development Sphere, in a press release. “The 4th of July show provides insight into the captivating power of the exosphere and the possibilities for artists, partners and brands to create impactful stories to connect with audiences in new ways”.

There’s nothing quite like the impact of displaying immersive content on the world’s largest video screen.” added David Hopkinson, President and Chief Operating Officer of MSG Sports, which oversees marketing and partnerships for Sphere Entertainment. “The experiences we can create are only limited by the imagination”.
In September, the room which can accommodate 17,600 spectators seated (20,000 in standing confi) will vibrate with concerts by U2 (U2: UV Achtung Baby Live). As a reminder, Vegas has been hosting more and more sporting events and US sports franchises (NHL, NFL) in recent years.
In November, for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, Sphere should also be occupied by F1… To be continued
