The I National Judo Stage “Ciudad de Tomelloso” Brings Top-Level Speakers and Promotes Sports in the Community

The Sports City hosts this weekend the I National Judo Stage “Ciudad de Tomelloso”. An important sporting event in which top-level speakers participate. The head of the host club, Yamila Gómez, has highlighted that almost all of the places offered have been covered in a stage that has been attended by athletes from all over the country “and in which we combine both high-level technical training and a important formative aspect.

One of the speakers is Alfonso de Diego, a national and international teacher, he is a technical trainer at the High Performance Center in Madrid. In addition, he leads the Paralympic judo team with which he won a silver medal in Tokyo. Yamila Gómez also underlines the presence of José Miguel Urrea, national teacher, eighth degree in judo “for us he is an eminence and we are very grateful that he accompanies us.” Urrea applies the new trends of neuroeducation on the tatami and is, in addition to being responsible for children’s judo within the Madrid Federation. He has two very emotional projects, he works with the childhood cancer association and he runs a judo program for people with ASD.

The president of the Tomelloso Judo Club wanted to highlight the presence of local speakers. A professional like José María Belló, known to all; Adrián Caballero, Graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and the UCLM professor, Mairena Sánchez. Also participating will be Pedro José Moreno, a black belt and fourth dan in judo. The organization also intends to make Tomelloso known to visitors and for this reason a guided tour of the Virgen de las Viñas cooperative has been scheduled

Programming

Two schedules of activities have been established, the first aimed at high-level training in which in the morning technical and tactical judo is performed, standing, with Alfonso de Diego. On Saturday afternoon, floor exercises will be carried out with Pedro José Moreno. Adrián Caballero is going to do physical preparation on Saturday, morning and afternoon, and on Sunday.

Regarding the presentations, this Saturday morning José María Belló will give two talks; in the afternoon of that day it will be the turn of José Miguel Urrea and on Sunday it will be the turn of Mairena Sánchez.

Attendees have also learned the story of Nicolás, a disabled child who has found valuable help in judo. His mother has valued the importance of judo in his life and the illusion with which she does this sport that allows her a better integration into society. This Saturday afternoon a visit to the stage of the Councilor for Sports, Benjamín de Sebastián, is planned.
