The Emblavez Badminton Club held its general meeting recently, in the presence of Natacha Gaudin, deputy mayor of Lavoûte-sur-Loire.
Nearly 80 licensees this season
Robin Gaudin, vice-president, first took stock of the past year by listing the various events organized by the club: youth meetings, Écoplume tournament, Écokids tournament, interclubs, various receptions. Thanks were extended to the many active members for their commitment throughout the year. In total, 76 licenses were taken this year within the club. The various victories of the players during the competitions were also mentioned.
One of the goals for the new season is to continue offering training sessions led by Angelo Do for children, every Wednesday. It was also decided to request two new time slots from the Aqua Passion Centre.
On the office side, several people announced their intention to resign during the general meeting. The Board of Directors therefore met a few days later to elect its new office and prepare for next season.
The co-chairs will be provided by Aurélie Liogier and Stéphane Souton. Robin Gaudin remains vice-president, accompanied by Léo Liogier, 16 years old and already very involved in the club as much on the young section as on the adult section.
Two tournaments already scheduled for 2024
Julie Souton, treasurer, invested for more than ten years, will be accompanied by Jeanine Plantin, a very active member, who returns to the office. Finally, Émilie Pages, secretary, will be supported by Damien Loubiat, the licensee of Haute-Loire who has the most seasons to his credit and who will therefore be able to bring his experience.
The Board of Directors is completed by eight other members: Claire Defour, Simon Ducloux, Laure Émeline Grousset, Corinne Exbrayat, Fabrice Gauthier, Ludovic Mounier, Stéphanie Testud and Perrine Masson.
A good season is therefore shaping up for the BCE, which is committed to uniting and multiplying convivial moments. Plans are already underway for the start of the season, such as the next two tournaments, the Écoplume (adult tournament), on March 23 and 24, 2024, and the Écokid for children and young people, on April 27. .
