In a soccer tournament, the commentator himself is the person in charge of guiding and explaining what happened during the match. In addition, they also have to be able to bring the atmosphere to be more interesting and lively.

In Cirebon, West Java, the name Bung Kamil seems familiar to connoisseurs of tarkam football tournaments. He is one of the commentators who has been involved in tarkam tournament events for a long time in an area nicknamed ‘Shrimp City’.

When talking with detikJabar, the man whose real name is Sudiman admitted that he had been working as a tarkam football commentator for about four years. During that time, he has often been a commentator in a football tournament held in a number of villages in Cirebon Regency.

According to Bung Kamil, every time a tarkam tournament is held, he is one of the people who always gets offers to become a commentator. For Cirebon Regency, he said, tarkam tournaments are usually held in June until the end of the year.

“From June to the new year, tarkam events are usually busy. Usually the committee contacts us and then we make an agreement. For example, the committee asks me for one month until the tournament is over, meaning I will be on duty there for up to one month,” said Bung Kamil.

“Incidentally, the organizers (tarkam tournament), especially those in the Cirebon area, on average they already know Kamil. So when they needed Kamil, they immediately contacted him,” he added.

In carrying out his work as a football commentator in tarkam tournament events, Bung Kamil admitted that he usually received an honorarium from the organizing committee of Rp. 100,000 – Rp. 150,000 per day.

“Apart from honorariums, commentators usually get offers from certain people, such as from sponsors and others,” he said.

For now, Bung Kamil himself is on duty as a football commentator in the tarkam tournament event which is being held on the field of Cempaka Village, Plumbon District, Cirebon Regency.

Just like most commentators, Bung Kamil was also the one who often made jokes when guiding the match. Because according to him, besides being in charge of guiding, the commentator must also be able to make the atmosphere of the match more interesting and exciting.
